KATE SNOWDEN

MA, IC-Dip, MBACP, MACC, RDMP

Following a performing career as a professional ballet dancer, Kate qualified as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist at Goldsmiths University (London), going on to complete a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has worked in a variety of settings as both a DMP and Integrative Psychotherapist including an NHS secure forensic unit, an outpatient clinic for eating disorders, a school, and a general counselling centre (Heart & Mind) in central London.

Kate just recently left her role as Head of Therapeutic Development at creative arts charity: Talitha Arts to become Head of Wellbeing at Rahab, London. Kate has a small private practice and is a guest tutor and clinical supervisor on the Heart & Mind Diploma and Certificate therapy training courses and supervisor at Azalea, Luton. She works in the UK but has also led DMP workshops in Switzerland and creative arts projects for survivors of trafficking in Mumbai and Kolkata, India as well as trauma-informed trainings for their care staff.

Kate is a registered member of the BACP, ACC and ADMP accrediting bodies and adheres to the BACP code of ethical practice.

Kate has a particular interest in the treatment of trauma and using creative interventions and somatic practice to facilitate freedom and change.
