Public Relations Coordinator, MBA Candidate

Iryna Kordunian

Iryna is a certified Ukrainian mediator whose work focuses on conflict resolution, post-war recovery, and community reconciliation, with a strong trauma-informed approach. She is the co-author of two books on mediation: The Path to Mediation (2022) and Healing the Wounds of Conflict: Mediation Can Help (2024). She has been invited as a guest speaker at Brandeis University, Connecticut College, MIT, Tufts University, and the University of Salzburg Business School to share her insights on mediation, negotiation, and post-war reconstruction.

She is currently pursuing her MBA at the Brandeis School of Business and Economics in Boston as a Peace Scholar. She also holds a master’s degree in law from Sumy State University and is certified in negotiations by Harvard University.

“For me, mental health is a crucial part of post-war recovery. In my work, I have seen how unaddressed trauma shapes relationships, communities, and even the direction of a country’s future. Without addressing these wounds, healing and rebuilding become much harder to achieve.”

As Public Relations Coordinator at First Aid of the Soul, Iryna manages communications and outreach, builds relationships with partners and supporters, and helps share the stories and impact of the organization’s work. She works to connect the mission of FAS with wider audiences, ensuring that the urgent mental health needs of communities affected by war are recognized and supported.
