KATERYNA LOMAKA

Translator / Interpreter

Kateryna is a certified translator and interpreter with a Master’s degree in linguistics and 7+ years of experience in the language field, including, but not limited to conference interpretation, translation jobs with international businesses, and book translation with a strong focus on self-help books and clinical literature in the psychology field. Kateryna is the translator of The Mindfulness Workbook for OCD: A Guide to Overcoming Obsessions and Compulsions Using Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Jon Hershfield, Tom Corboy), Sick Enough: A Guide to the Medical Complications of Eating Disorders (Jennifer L. Gaudiani), The ACT Workbook for OCD: Mindfulness, Acceptance, and Exposure Skills to Live Well with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (Marisa T. Mazza), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Eating Disorders: A Process-Focused Guide to Treating Anorexia and Bulimia (Emily K. Sandoz, Kelly G. Wilson, Troy DuFrene).

Kateryna's role with the FAS team is to provide language support for consecutive/simultaneous interpretation during workshops and trainings, as well as for the translation of handouts and learning materials. "Being based in Kyiv, Ukraine, I’m deeply committed to this joint effort initiated by a qualified team of professionals with rigorous training and a strong background in psychology to offer support to their Ukrainian peers in overcoming the devastating mental health consequences of tragic events brought upon by the ongoing hostilities."
