An Evening of Dialogue, Music, and Collective Purpose

Dear Distinguished Friends, Colleagues, and Supporters,

First Aid of the Soul is honored to invite you to Voices for Ukraine: Symposium & Concert, a special gathering convening internationally recognized leaders in human rights, global affairs, academia, mental health, and culture alongside extraordinary musicians and artists in support of Ukraine.

At a moment when questions of democracy, human dignity, cultural preservation, and recovery remain central to Ukraine's future, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage with influential voices shaping these conversations on the global stage.

Featured Keynote Speakers

Oleksandra Matviichuk

Human rights lawyer, Head of the Center for Civil Liberties, and representative of the organization awarded the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize. Matviichuk is one of Ukraine’s most prominent advocates for human rights, justice, and accountability amid Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Samantha Power

Anna Lindh Professor of the Practice of Global Leadership and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School; William D. Zabel Professor of Practice in Human Rights at Harvard Law School; former Administrator of USAID and former United States Ambassador to the United Nations. A Pulitzer Prize-winning author and leading voice in international affairs, diplomacy, and human rights.

Serhii Plokhii

Mykhailo S. Hrushevs'kyi Professor of Ukrainian History at Harvard University and former Director of the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute. Professor Plokhii is among the world's foremost scholars on Ukrainian history, Eastern Europe, and the geopolitics of the region.

The Evening Will Feature

• A high-level symposium and conversation with internationally recognized leaders

• A curated artistic and musical program featuring exceptional Ukrainian and local artists

• Poetry, storytelling, interdisciplinary performance, and reflections from the ground in Ukraine

• A reception and silent art auction featuring works by Ukrainian artists

• Opportunities to connect with members of the academic, humanitarian, healthcare, philanthropic, and cultural communities

The event will also mark the public launch of First Aid of the Soul's Arts & Health Initiative in Ukraine, advancing trauma-informed, community-based approaches to mental health and wellbeing through partnerships with universities, healthcare institutions, and cultural organizations across Ukraine.

Since 2022, First Aid of the Soul has supported more than 25,000 individuals through programs spanning over fifty cities across Ukraine. First Aid of the Soul is proud to be part of the Harvard Innovation Labs community through Harvard Business School and a recipient of the 2025 Social Impact Fellowship Fund.
