Conference Program

"And did you ever think Ukraine was just that simple? Ukraine – it’s super. Ukraine – it's exclusive. It has weathered all the storms of history. Every trial imaginable has left its mark upon her. It is tempered with the highest tempering. In the conditions of the modern world, it is priceless." Lina Kostenko

The experience of two years since the full-scale invasion of Russia against Ukraine leads us into new challenges, teaches endurance, faith and unity beyond distance -- care for the mental health of the individual and the nation.

The purpose of the conference is to create a space to support mental health professionals exchange experiences and practices in the application of expressive arts therapies in times of war. Constructive communication among colleagues will contribute to the enhancement of theoretical knowledge, improvement of practical skills and competencies within the field of expressive arts,  Moreover, we are honored to be co-organizing, partnering and also participating -- some of us online and a few in-person for this conference!

Moreover, we are honored to be participating both online and some of us in-person for this conference. We will be hosting Ukrainian colleagues, and those from the international expressive arts world as well as such as Bobby Lloyd, Miriam Usiskin, Phillip Speiser PhD, Vivien Marcow Speiser PhD, and Michal Lev PhD.

WATCH OUR  SUPPORT VIDEO  ~ We invite you to join us in our TRIP TO UKRAINE! A few of us plan on being there (in-person) in just a few weeks but not without your support. First Aid of the Soul (FAS) is actively preparing for their trip to Ukraine this March. The founder and directors Nathalie Timtchenko and Eden Shoro along with two amazing colleagues Bobby Lloyd and Miriam Usiskin from Art Refuge in the United Kingdom will go to Ukraine for a special trip to train mental health professionals on the ground.

Thank you so much for supporting our mission to rebuild Ukraine through mental health.

With much compassion,

FAS Team
