Dear Friends & Colleagues,We are delighted to invite you all to join us for a special pre-screening fundraiser in support of our non-profit First Aid of the Soul, providing vital mental health and psycho-social support services to individuals and families affected by the war in Ukraine.

Your ticket includes admission on Monday, June 16th for a private reception from 6:15–7:15 PM in the West Newton Cinema mezzanine, followed by Belmont World Film's screening of UNDER THE VOLCANO at 7:30 PM. Enjoy light refreshments, connect with fellow supporters, and learn more about the impact of First Aid of the Soul’s work.

All proceeds from the reception and part of the screening fee support trauma-informed care and emotional healing in Ukrainian communities. Additional donations are greatly appreciated. Let your evening at Belmont World Film's 23rd International Film Series make a real-world difference.

About the film, UNDER THE VOLCANO

While enjoying the final day of their vacation in Tenerife, Spain, a blended Ukrainian family’s world is upended when news breaks of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, rendering their return to Kyiv impossible. Stranded on the island, they must navigate feelings of isolation, fear, and uncertainty, all while confronting the evolving dynamics within their family. Poland's submission for Best International Feature Film Oscar.

About the SpeakerFirst Aid of the Soul's Founder and Director Nathalie Robelot Timtchenko, a pioneering force in mental health. Calling Ukraine home for over eight transformative years, Nathalie spearheaded First Aid of the Soul within days of Russia launching its full-scale invasion against Ukraine in 2022. The organization provides accessible psychological support services to Ukrainians affected by the war and to date has reached over 11,000 individuals.

We hope to see you there!
